Species of birds covered by the project

The project concerns the protection of habitats of two species of wetland birds:

  • Nycticorax nyctocorax blind eye
  • Sterna hirundo the rudno tern

for which Natura 2000 sites have been designated:

  • Lower Soła Valley PLB120004
  • Lower Skawa Valley PLB120005,
  • Upper Vistula Valley PLB240001,
  • Ponds in Brzeszcze PLB120009.

Planned activities will also have a positive impact on other species of birds, protected in these areas. These are:

  • Ferruginous Aythya nyroca,
  • Bit botaurus stellaris,
  • Ixobrychus minutus,
  • Black Tern Chlidonias niger
  • Whiting Tern Chlidonias hybrida,
  • Black-headed Gull Ichthyaetus melanocephalus,
  • Great crested grebe Podiceps cristatus,
  • Red-necked grebe Podiceps grisegena,
  • Podiceps nigricollis,
  • Little Grebe Tachybaptus ruficollis,
  • Purple heron Ardea purpurea,
  • Greylag Anser anser,
  • Gadwall Anas Streper,
  • Cyranka Anas querquedula,
  • Blackberry Aythya fuligula,
  • The Aythya ferina brand,
  • Netta rufina,
  • The Gallinule moth chloropus,
  • Flatiron Anas clypeata,
  • Charadrius dubius plover,
  • Redwing Tringa totanus,
  • Eurasian Chroicocephalus ridibundus
