Instrument of the European Commission LIFE

The LIFE program was created in 1992 and so far it is the only financial instrument of the European Union focused exclusively on co-financing various initiatives in the field of environmental and climate protection. The main objective of this program is to support the implementation of Community environmental law, the implementation of EU policy in this area, as well as the identification and promotion of new solutions for environmental problems in this nature. All EU Member States can apply for LIFE funding. The beneficiary of the LIFE Program may be any entity and public or private institution.

 

National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management

Project LIFE16 NAT/PL/000766 is co-financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management under contract No. 32/2018/Wn12/OP-WK-LF/D of February 8, 2018 for the implementation of the task entitled “Protection of the habitats of wetland birds in the Upper Vistula Valley”. The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management was established in 1989 and is the basic, domestic source of financing pro-ecological investments in the field of environmental protection and water management. Having the largest financial potential, it is an important tool for the implementation of environmental policy in Poland, and is a partner of international financial institutions in servicing foreign funds designated for environmental protection. This fund offers loans, subsidies and other forms of co-financing for projects implemented, including by self-governments, enterprises, public entities, social organizations, as well as natural persons.
