The LIFE.VISTULA.PL project team participated in another meeting of LIFE project beneficiaries and applicants planning to apply for project funds under the LIFE Program. The meeting was held on February 9-10, 2023 in Umianowice at the invitation and on the premises of the Complex of Świętokrzyskie and Nadnidziański Landscape Parks in Kielce.

During the meeting, the participants were divided into 3 thematic tables: nature/environmental projects, climate projects and a financial-settlement table, which were moderated by experts from the European Commission Stanislaw Tworek and Weronika Krecek-Ticha and Andrzej Muter from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.

The hosts of the meeting introduced the participants to the tasks carried out under the LIFE.Delta – Renaturalization of the inland delta of the Nida river project and shared the results to date. This project, similar to the LIFE.VISTULA.PL, is implemented within the river valley, and its goal is to improve the water conditions of the inland Nida delta, including the improvement of habitat conditions for birds, which can also be found in habitats in the Upper Vistula Valley. As part of one of the activities, water was restored in one of Nida’s riverbeds after many years, and oxbow lakes and small reservoirs between Nida’s arms were restored.
